Uses of Wasabi: 

  • Wasabi has the ability to inhibit bacteria causing tooth decay, improve circulation, and enhance oxygen supply to cell activities. 
  • It has the potential to fight against cancer. Wasabi contains a compound called Isothiocyanates, which inhibits the growth of cancer cells, causing them to shrink and disappear.
  • Wasabi is a natural anti-aging agent. 

Usage with Japanese dishes such as: Sashimi, sushi, seafood salads, dumplings, grilled dishes, etc.

HOW TO USE WASABI POWDER

  1. Wasabi powder is a fine light green powder, which is the natural color of wasabi. 
  2. To use wasabi powder, it needs to be mixed with a certain amount of water and vigorously stirred to dissolve the powder.
  3. First, take an appropriate amount of wasabi powder into a bowl, then pour 1/2 spoon of water and stir. 
  4. In case the water and wasabi amount are not balanced, gradually add water. Avoid adding too much water as it will make the wasabi slimy and less tasty. 
  5. After the water and wasabi are balanced, start stirring vigorously for 3-5 minutes. If using a large amount of wasabi powder, using hands to knead will be quicker.

 Note:

  • Do not mix wasabi with hot water as the enzyme components creating its aroma will be destroyed at high temperatures. 
  • Mixing with lemon or vinegar will enhance the flavor of wasabi.
