Chicken Abalone Soup

INGREDIENTS:

  • 7 frozen abalones
  • 1/2 chicken
  • Jujube (red dates), goji berries
  • Sliced ginger
  • Seasoning to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. After defrosting the abalones, separate the meat from the shells and blanch the chicken.
  2. In a pot, combine the chicken, abalone shells, red dates, and sliced ginger. Cook for 50 minutes.
  3. Add the abalone meat and goji berries, and cook for 8-10 minutes.
  4. Finally, season with a bit of salt to taste.

Tips for Cooking Abalone:

  • For stir-frying: Cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  • For braising: Simmer for 30-45 minutes in a rich broth.
  • For steaming: Heat for 5-10 minutes to warm it through.
  • Be careful not to overcook, as it can become tough.
