Tobiko Salad Recipe
Serve chilled as an appetizer or a refreshing side dish for sushi and seafood meals.
Ingredients:
- 50g Tobiko (Flying Fish Roe)
- 80g mixed salad greens (lettuce, rocket, frisée)
- ½ cucumber, thinly sliced
- ¼ red onion, finely sliced
- 2 tbsp Japanese mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sesame dressing or roasted sesame sauce
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Toasted sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash and drain the salad greens thoroughly.
- Arrange salad greens, cucumber, and red onion in a bowl.
- Mix Japanese mayonnaise, sesame dressing, and lemon juice to make the dressing.
- Gently toss the salad with the dressing.
- Top with Tobiko just before serving.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds if desired.
